LOVE ALWAYS

This is a collective exhibition. Where I present photography and interactive works. I took this photo when I returned to my hometown in Bangka for about three months. While I was there, my mother gave me a carefully preserved photograph. It’s a picture of my parents when they were young. It’s the only picture left that captures the warm relationship between them, and it’s a shame that the photo has almost faded away. I tried to capture their daily life to represent the fading photo as a symbol of their relationship.

A series of personal photos introducing my family, my father and mother. Here, I captured their activities. Simple daily activities like cooking vegetables, taking naps, chatting, working, arguing, and joking, all done together. It’s a relationship that still holds the same feelings as when they were young, just in a different physical form. Something becomes meaningful with the bond within it.
